Saskatchewan, “The Land of Living Skies”, well known for its amazing sunrises and sunsets, is home to this award-winning RIMS chapter. SKRIMS is committed to continuing to offer networking opportunities and provide educational content for our members.
2025 was another very exciting year for SKRIMS. We held a total of 14 SKRIMS events including virtual lunch and learns, in-person meetings, networking events, and community outreach opportunities in both Regina and Saskatoon.
Our 5th Annual Golf Day at Harbour Golf Course in Elbow, Saskatchewan was a tremendous success with record attendance, record sponsorship, and participants from five provinces and the United States.
We were also thrilled to award our first SKRIMS Chapter Scholarship to Abigail Baade, a University of Regina Actuarial Science student.
In partnership with Saskatchewan universities, SKRIMS members are helping shape the future of risk management education. Courses in risk management have now been developed and taught at both the University of Regina and the University of Saskatchewan by members of our board.
We will also continue the popular “Win Your Way to the RIMS Canada Conference” contest in 2026. Two SKRIMS members will win the opportunity to attend the 2026 RIMS Canada Conference in Quebec City from October 18–21, including registration, hotel and travel expenses up to $3,000.
For every SKRIMS event attended between June 2025 and the AGM in May 2026, members receive one entry into the draw.
The draw will be held in person at the AGM in Regina in May 2026.
Thank you for your continued support, and a special thank you to the SKRIMS Board of Directors for their dedication and support.
Here’s to a great 2026.
